Associate Professor Lin Fritschi
Associate Professor Lin Fritschi joined WAIMR in July 2006. Lin is a cancer epidemiologist, with a particular interest in occupational causes of cancer.
Over the past 12 years she has worked in Montreal, Melbourne and Brisbane and has a total career grant funding of over $10 million. Lin has been an investigator on a number of large case-control studies including colorectal cancer, childhood acute lymphocytic leukaemia, prostate cancer, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. In addition, she is has been involved in cohort studies of aluminium industry workers, veterinarians, meatworkers and textile workers.
Lin is also interested in improving the way we assess historical exposure to chemicals. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals and has been or is a member of a number of NHMRC and other committees.
Presently Lin holds an NHMRC Senior Research Fellowship, which provides her with 5-years of personal funding to further develop her program of research at WAIMR.
