Christianne White, WACHA's New Business Development Manager
The growing team at the Western Australian Centre for Health and Ageing has expanded to help focus efforts on reaching out to the increasing and ageing population.
Wembley resident Christianne White has been appointed Business Development Manager at the Centre, which is based at the State's premier adult medical research institute, the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR).
Ms White brings a diverse range of experience including international marketing and communications as well as an understanding of the academic research environment.
Ms White's role is squarely focused on streamlining systems within the Centre and promoting healthy, successful ageing in the WA community.
"My focus within the Centre will be to establish, build and strengthen partnerships and to inform the community about our new discoveries," Ms White said.
"I'm looking forward to being involved with some valuable research, because the Centre has a fantastic group of dedicated researchers working to create new knowledge and improve the health of ageing Australians."
WAIMR Director Peter Klinken said he was delighted to welcome Ms White to the team, who would help the Centre bring added benefit to community health.
"Ms White's enthusiasm and professionalism is a major gain for the team and will give the Centre a great channel to reach the community with important findings on healthy ageing," he said.
This year WAIMR celebrates 10 years since its inception and the many internationally-important discoveries which have transformed it into WA's premier adult medical research institute.
