Perth's Inaugural White Coats Black Ties Ball
January 7th, 2008 - Media Statement
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR) has unveiled plans for its annual White Coats Black Ties Ball.
The inaugural event, to be held at Winthrop Hall at The University of Western Australia on March 15th 2008, will be an evening of glitz and glamour hosted by popular Australian comedian Jean Kittson and featuring entertainment from Perth jazz sensation Libby Hammer and her band Hip Mo' Toast.
Pre-dinner drinks will take place under the stars before the serving of a sumptuous three course meal and fine West Australian wines.
The Ball will also see WAIMR highlight its ten most exciting medical research discoveries to date and celebrate plans for its forthcoming cutting-edge research facilities.
Funds raised go towards medical research for diseases including breast cancer, leukaemia, type 1 and type 2 diabetes and debilitating muscle disorders.
